HANSEL AND GRETEL AND THE WITCH
WHO WAS ON A HIGH PROTEIN DIET

Once upon a time there lived a poor woodsman and his wife and their two children, Hansel and Gretel. The woodsman and his wife went to town to find work because they were very poor. They left Hansel and Gretel home alone. The children decided to go into the woods to look for berries and left a trail of crumbs from their loaf of Pepperidge Farm bread to help them find their way back. But the birds ate the crumbs and they could not find their way home. They came to a clearing and a gingerbread house. The roof was made of cake with butter cream icing; it had a candy corn chimney, windows made of glass candy with Hershey bar shutters, curtains made of cotton candy,, and gum drop window boxes with lollipops growing out of them. The children started eating the house, when an old woman opened the door. She was very sweet, just like her house. "Oh, you are such adorable children, why You look good enough to eat." She invited the children inside. Now, this old woman really liked children - she liked them medium rare! She was really a wicked witch, who built her gingerbread house to lure children in with refined carbohydrates. She herself was on a high protein diet. Will Hansel and Gretel be the protein for her next meal?!!
