AESOP’S FABLES

Aesop told his fables 2,500 years ago. They are part of the fabric of western civilization. Who is not familiar with the phrases, “Don’t count your chickens before they are hatched” or “Necessity is the mother of invention” or “Look before you leap” or “sour grapes?” The stories of The Fox and the Grapes, The Tortoise and the Hare, The Wind and the Sun, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, The Ant and the Grasshopper are known throughout the world. These fractured fables revisit some of the most famous of Aesop’s Fables, giving them a modern twist while retaining the universal truths that have made them timeless.
