BEAUTY AND THE BEAST:
A TALE OF TRANSMOGRIFICATION

Transmogrification: a change in appearance or form, especially strangely or grotesquely; a transformation, a transmutation, a metamorphosis.

Once upon a time, a prince was transmogrified into a beast. For although he was handsome without, he was beastly within. If he can learn to love another, not selfishly but truly, and earn her love in return, the spell will be broken. Beast sets about wooing Beauty, who has taken her father's place as a prisoner in his castle. But no matter how many times he asks Beauty to marry him, her answer is the same - NO! He tries to win her with his wealth. She is not impressed. He tries to awe her with his depth. She laughs. He tries to woo her with his wit. She doesn't. He tries to romance her. She would rather die. And she almost does. But then a miracle happens. Does Beauty finally learn to love Beast? No. Beast finally learns to love Beauty, not selfishly but truly. He lets her go. She loves him in return, although not with the kind of love he has in mind. But love taxes many forms, and it does the trick. He is transmogrified back into a handsome prince. Now he has a chance to win her love - the kind of love he has in mind. How? Come and see.
