When Catherine is born, her parents, the king and queen, Invite all the important people in their Kingdom to her christening - except for the Wicked Witch of the West, who comes from the wrong side of the world and is persona non gratis. WWW crashes the party anyway. She comes with a gift: Catherine shall be miserable every day of her life for the rest of her life. The king and queen appeal to the Good Witch of the East to undo the curse. But the two witches are of equal power. Therefore, the Good Witch of the East cannot undo the curse completely. She can only undo half of it. Whether Catherine will have a happy youth or a happy old age is then a decision her parents must make. But it is Catherine's own decision that determines her destiny.
